{"id":1319,"date":"2018-04-25T05:37:15","date_gmt":"2018-04-25T05:37:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bogotivo.com\/?p=1319"},"modified":"2018-05-08T21:48:40","modified_gmt":"2018-05-08T21:48:40","slug":"bogota-lifestyle-blog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bogotivo.com\/en\/bogota-lifestyle-blog\/","title":{"rendered":"Bogotivo: A Bogot\u00e1 Lifestyle Blog"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After launching my Panama website, <a href=\"http:\/\/pty.life\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PTY\u00a0Life<\/a>, over five years ago I have been wanting to expand, and the next city is Bogot\u00e1, Colombia!<\/p>\n<p>After returning to Panama after another countless trip to Bogot\u00e1, this has become a city that I&#8217;m loving more and more as I dig deeper.\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 14px; letter-spacing: 0px;\">It\u00a0isn\u2019t a city most people click with when they visit Colombia, as Cartagena and Medell\u00edn tend to be the favorites (I\u2019ll admit that I didn\u2019t love it after my first visit). Bogot\u00e1 is often described as a harsh city, and it seems that way at first glance. It can feel cold, gritty, and\u00a0overwhelming with a population of over 8 million people! However, Bogot\u00e1 is a city with secrets to be discovered.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1472\" src=\"https:\/\/bogotivo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Monserrate.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"419\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bogotivo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Monserrate.jpg 800w, https:\/\/bogotivo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Monserrate-300x157.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bogotivo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Monserrate-768x402.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/>Bogot\u00e1 offers an innovative food scene and they even have an entire neighborhood dedicated just to eating (Zona G or Gastronomic Zone). The nightlife varies from hipster speakeasies to rooftop bars, salsa clubs, live concerts, or underground electronic music where you\u2019ll party into the wee hours of the morning.\u00a0You\u2019ll also find plenty of amazing specialty coffee shops brewing the best of Colombian coffee, boutiques with unique pieces from Colombian designers, flea markets, city park, and a climate similar to San Francisco if you like chilly weather. Yes, all of these things are in Bogot\u00e1!<\/p>\n<p>This is a city that you have to experience the right way to appreciate it and it\u2019s why I started this website.
